Below, are some of the Day 1 standouts from the USA Men's Junior National Team October Minicamp being held in Colorado Springs, CO on October 11-13...
*Jabari Smith,Jr. (6'8", 190lbs, Sandy Creek, Tyrone, GA) was the best player in the gym playing with the 2021-2023 group. When the camp schedule shifted to the 5 on 5 portion of the day, he was dominant. He made multiple 3’s in both of his scrimmage games, blocked shots, rebounded at a high level, and finished at the rim. He further solidified himself as a Top 5 guy in his class
* 82 Eric Dailey Jr (6’6, 214lbs, 2022 - IMG,Tampa, FL) was a Day 1 standout. The lefty's shooting touch was on full display - from making mid-range jumpers to threes from all angles of the court.
*55 Caleb Love (6’3, 183lbs, 2020 - Christian Brothers, St Louis, MO) Love's size and the edge the true point plays with were put to good use by the UNC-signee. He picked up full court virtually every possession and totally disrupted whoever he was guarding. He shot it well today, and most importantly, he made great decisions with the ball when he got in the paint in ball screen situations or in transition
*#46 Greg Brown III (6’8, 185lbs 2020 - Vandegrift HS, Austin, TX) The do-it-all forward's terrific motor, hands, and instincts helped him show his prowess on the boards as one of the country's best rebounders in addition to his scoring with athletic gifts that you can’t teach. Played to the standard that comes along with being a Top 5 player on Day 1.
