SUVtv will host its second annual NBA Draft Day show with NBA/college analyst, Rashad Phillips, on November 18, 2020. Featuring one of the most authentic perspectives in the basketball space, the draft show will include breakdowns & analysis on the incoming wave of talent and the potential impact for NBA teams. Hosted by podcast host & reporter, Kate Constable, the show roster brings a wealth of experience & unique insights, including former NCAA Div. 1 player & coach, Darryl LaBarrie of LaBWork. Zach Ramey and Max Van Auken, hosts of The Off The Glass Podcast and The Max Van Auken Podcast respectively, will round out the on-air lineup for the evening.
Dubbed years ago as “the best player never drafted” by Kobe Bryant, Rashad Phillips is the all-time leading scorer at the University of Detroit-Mercy with 2,319 points. Affectionately known as “Yoda” given his player evaluations and spot-on predictions, some of Phillips’ most notable assessments include his draft ranking of Trae Young as well as his January 2019 preseason statement that the Toronto Raptors would be in the NBA Finals. “I’ll give the viewers my excitement for the game, in depth analysis of the prospects and how their games will translate to the NBA” says Rashad Phillips.
The Draft Day special runs for the second year on SUVtv - a grassroots basketball platform that specializes in broadcasts and original content from the youth to professional level. “Our coverage is geared towards maximizing the value every segment of the basketball community gets from the content we create - that’s an easy deliverable with the expertise and approach this crew will bring”, says Marques Burnett, Founder of SUVtv. “There’s a wide range of destinations viewers can spend their NBA Draft night with, and we look forward to providing an informative & engaging show for those who join us for what will be a special night.”
