The Jared Cook Tip-Off Classic (JCC) heads into its 11th year with the 2019 edition of the event just months away. The bigger-than-basketball occasion features some of Georgia's best high school teams competing in a three day showcase-style event.
The JCC starts each new hoops season with the same mission as always - generating proceeds and awareness for the Susan G. Komen Foundation of metro Atlanta. The education and research efforts in the fight against breast cancer are dear to the event’s namesake, North Gwinnett grad and current Oakland Raider, Jared Cook, whose mother, Yulinda, is a breast cancer survivor. Over $2,500 a year is raised annually for the cause.
All 2019 Jared Cook Tip-Off Classic games will be available live and on demand on theSUVtv.com as well as the "SUVtv" app on Amazon Fire TV, Roku, Apple TV, and Android TV.
"We are excited about the 2019 Jared Cook Tip-Off Classic and the talent that we will have a chance to host on our home court at North Gwinnett High School," said Matt Garner, North Gwinnett head coach and event director. "Thanks to Jared for continuing to support his alma mater and allowing us to put on this high quality event. This year's coverage on SUVtv will highlight a field with loaded rosters, outstanding coaches, and high-caliber programs to start the high school basketball season in the state of Georgia."
This will be the sixth consecutive year the event has been shown on SUVtv. "We are looking forward to another year of broadcast coverage from the Jared Cook Classic," says Marques Burnett, Founder of SUVtv, "The event features a great mix of state championship contenders and uses the game we love to support a cause much bigger than the game itself."
