Jared Cook Classic Day 3 will feature an exciting matchup today between Cedar Shoals and Lithonia. Lithonia has been making some noise early with junior guard Eric Gaines and senior forward Justin Myles - two very athletic kids that bring highlights to the game and contribute heavily on both ends of the court. Gaines is the primary scorer for Lithonia, and he can do it every way. He brings the swagger and attitude, but a game that backs it up as well. Consistent shooter and good for a couple of highlight dunks, Gaines will not disappoint this afternoon .
Justin Myles for Lithonia has also been making a name for himself this tournament and can be an impact player as well. He anchors the paint and gets it done on the offensive and defensive end. I also like what Osiris Corker and Broderick Jones can bring to this game. Corker is the glue guy, who does it all for Lithonia and can fly under the radar. Jones is also a big body down low, and if he can just find his niche and get a few more touches, can be able to feast down low against an undersized opponent.
Cedar Shoals also have two mainstays that spearhead a solid team overall - juniors Tyler Johnson and Quincy Canty are a one-two punch that packs power. Johnson is a guard that likes to get to the basket but can also beat you with the midrange. He has some nice size for a guard and uses that frame consistently to help him get to the basket. Quincy Canty has one of the purest forms in the state and he is deadly inside the perimeter. He likes the pull up jumper - a part of his game he has almost perfected. Cedar Shoals is also coming off a pretty big loss to Pebblebrook so look for them to come out and aggressive early.
